ALASKA 529 WORKPLACE

A PROGRAM DESIGNED TO HELP EMPLOYEES SAVE FOR FUTURE EDUCATION.

Offer your employees the free benefit of saving for education with Alaska 529 Workplace. The simple program allows them to easily open and invest in an Alaska 529 account through employee payroll direct deposit.

Your employees open their own Alaska 529 accounts at their convenience, with no specific enrollment period. There is no fee for you or your employees, and no paperwork on your part.

The most important step is educating your employees. We can help by hosting an in-person or virtual information session to talk about how Alaska 529 works and how to open an account.

We’ll cover:

  • Cost of education
  • Why it’s better to save than borrow
  • Tax benefits of a 529 plan
  • An overview of Alaska 529
  • How to enroll
  • Setting up direct deposit
